چکیده
The sterol, amino acid, mineral, total phenolic, and flavonoid contents, the antioxidant, antimicrobial, antibiofilm activities of Salvia candidissima subsp. mericarps were investigated. collected in province Bayburt, Turkey. Gas chromatography was used for sterol analysis, Prominence ultra-fast liquid acid ICPMS mineral analysis. Folin-Ciocalteu, Al(NO3)3, DPPH radical scavenging activity assays performed on ethanol extracts to evaluate phenolic antioxidant potential, respectively. hexane tested their antimicrobial against seven bacterial three fungal strains using microdilution method Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm crystal violet staining method. contents studied first time. most abundant components are determined as ?-sitosterol (69.8%), glutamic (4895 mg/100 g), potassium (11474 ?g/g). results free 3.47 ?g GAE/mg extract, 0.35 QE/mg 79.79%, Both exhibited all microorganisms, however, efficiency not strong reference drugs ampicillin fluconazole. While both effective preventing formation, extract found be more than preformed inhibition. In conclusion, S. have good nutritional potential with high amounts acids, sterols (especially ?-sitosterol), minerals, phenolics flavonoids. Additionally, our findings provide important preliminary data literature terms mericarps.
